Privacy & data handling
Draft. This page describes our current data practices as we build Sifti. It has not yet been reviewed by a solicitor and will be finalised, including full UK GDPR terms and a data processing agreement, before Sifti handles live candidate data for a customer.
Candidate transparency
Candidates are told up front, when invited, that the interview is conducted by an AI interviewer.
The human option
Candidates can ask to speak to a person instead of completing the AI interview. That request goes to the recruiter, who handles it directly. Sifti does not make automatic rejection decisions — the recruiter always makes the final call.
What Sifti keeps
Sifti retains interview transcripts only. We do not retain voice recordings.
Retention
The agency we work with chooses how long transcripts are retained (for example, six months, one year or two years).
Voice provider
Voice conversations run through a third-party voice provider. That provider's own audio retention policy is still being confirmed, and this page will be updated once it is.
Roles and responsibilities
The agency decides what candidate data is kept and why, so the agency is expected to be the data controller and Sifti the processor. A data processing agreement is expected to be put in place at onboarding.
